Here at Foley Contracting, we’ve handled numerous kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects. We’ve built decks and patios in Northport. In fact, we’ve taken care of a whole range of residential Suffolk County construction projects and we know that without a doubt, there is one thing guaranteed to instantly turn a house into a home.
We’ll give you a hint… it isn’t a certain shade of paint, it isn’t new cabinets or an extra bathroom.
All of those home improvements are wonderful and will make your home more enjoyable in the years to come, but the one thing that will truly make any house a home is a pet.
The Dog (and Cat!) Days of August
August 17 is Clear the Shelters Day all across the country. Among the many shelters that are participating in this life-saving initiative is Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Huntington.
Little Shelter Animal Rescue and Adoption Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter nestled on six wooded acres on Long Island. Since 1927, this wonderful organization has been saving abandoned dogs and cats and placing them into loving forever homes. (Just imagine how many animals they have saved and how many houses have become homes in all that time!)
Little Shelter Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, which is Suffolk County’s oldest Humane Society organization, also manages The Town of Huntington Cat Shelter. In addition to providing free or low-cost spay/neuter services to the residents of Huntington Township, the cat shelter is open seven days a week for adoptions. For more information, you can call (631) 651-9788.
If you have a pet that makes your house a home, we’d love to see a picture – whether you brought your furry friend home years ago or on Clear the Shelters Day. And if Tim Foley – the Northport, New York contractor preferred by more pets, paws down – stops by to give you an estimate on a kitchen or bathroom remodeling job or some other residential Suffolk County construction project, you might want to ask him about adding a doggy door or a cat tree!
